Here is one in a series of related stories. BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, 19 November 2008 Rumilya’s life changed when her mother was detained for theft. Rumilya, then 12, and her sister Lili, then 16, were sent to live with ‘caregivers’. One of them, Madina, had other ideas. Madina told Rumilya that if she went to Dubai, she would be able to earn enough to pay for her mother’s release. Rumilya understood even then that her work in Dubai would probably involve sexual exploitation, but at her age she had little understanding of what that meant. All she wanted was to be reunited with her mother. Madina organized Rumilya’s passage to Dubai. The girl was given a false passport and a new name. Once in Dubai, Rumilya was locked in a flat and her passport was taken away. Then she was ’sold’ for $12,000. Six months later, Lilia was trafficked to Dubai as well, and the two sisters turned to alcohol to escape reality. La pratique, les études et les réflexions lont conduite à sa propre conception de la danse orientale qui est intégrée dans une vraie philosophie où la danse orientale est un prolongement dune certaine culture de lesprit et du corps. La danse d’Irida explore un un champ artistique qui va du plus pur style classique à un style de fusion qui plonge ses racines dans l’Europe ancienne Irida dirige la société La Porte d”Ishtar, entreprise de la danse orientale. La danse ne connaît pas de frontières, ni de nationalités. Originaire du Kirghizistan, pays majoritairement musulman, Irida a grandi en Asie Centrale, région multiculturelle par excellence, riche de ses traditions et de son passé. Ces origines expliquent en partie peut-être son goût pour lOrient. Irida a toujours été passionnée par la danse depuis son plus jeune âge. Dans sa famille on se souvient encore delle lorsque toute petite elle dansait chaque fois que son grand-père jouait de laccordéon. Durant ses études elle a fait de la danse folklorique, de la danse de salon et moderne, mais sest vraiment retrouvée dans la danse orientale qui la marquée et qui a changé sa vie. Irida est reconnaissante aux professeurs de danse orientale dont elle a été lélève: Sigalite avec qui elle sest initiée à la danse orientale et Marila Erevane qui la aidé à se former et qui laide toujours à se perfectionner dans la danse orientale. Irida continue sa formation en tant que danseuse orientale, suivant de stages de grands professeurs de danse orientale, tels que Marila Erevane, Jillina, Hossam et Serena Ramzy, Iyad Haimour, Dr. Hassan Khalil et Nuriyya. The practice, studies and reflections led to his own conception of dance that is integrated into a real philosophy in which the dance is an extension of a culture of mind and body. The dance of Irida explores a field that is artistic style of classical fusion style that is rooted in ancient Europe Irida directs the La Porte d”Ishtar company oriental dance. The dance knows no borders nor nationalities. A native of Kyrgyzstan, a country predominantly Muslim Irida grew up in Central Asia, multicultural region par excellence, rich in its traditions and its past. These origins explain in part perhaps his taste for the Orient. Irida has always been passionate about dance from an early age. In her family there still remembers tiny when she danced it when his grandfather played the accordion. During her studies she has made the folk dance, from ballroom dancing and modern, but really found in oriental dance that has marked and which changed his life. Irida is grateful to the teachers of dance which she was a student: Sigalite with whom she started to dance and Eastern Marila Yerevan, which has helped train and that always helps to improve over Eastern dance.
