Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim talks with Bloomberg’s Paul Gordon from the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur about sodomy allegations against him and his plans to stand for parliament. Anwar, fired as deputy premier and beaten by police after a similar allegation a decade ago, led the opposition to its largest electoral victory in March, and now claims to be able to woo enough defectors from the ruling coalition to take power by September. He was jailed for six years for corruption and sodomy until Malaysia’s highest court overturned the conviction and freed him in 2004.
